For anyone else still pining after warmer days, our Frozen Berry & Banana Slush is a delicious, healthy dessert recipe which you can whip up in minutes and tastes like summer! By switching the honey for maple syrup it becomes vegan and the addition of tahini means it contains a healthy little hit of calcium!
100g frozen berries;
1 medium banana;
1/2 tbs tahini;
50ml almond milk;
1 tsp honey (or maple syrup if vegan);
Handful of fresh berries for topping.
Mix all ingredients, leaving the fresh berries aside, in a blender until smooth and divide into two bowls. If you’d like it a little firmer, put in the freezer for 20 minutes; otherwise, top with the fresh berries and serve immediately.
Each bowl: 180 kcal; 24g carbs; 8g fat; 4g protein.
