General Questions

What is The Fitting Rooms Gym?

The Fitting Rooms is a boutique, family-run Personal Training gym located in London, offering expertly tailored training programmes across 1-1 PT, Partner PT (2-1), and small group PT (4-1); in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all fitness levels and all fitness goals.

Where is The Fitting Rooms Gym located?

We are centrally located at Saxon House, 48 Southwark Street, London, SE1 1UN, just a 5-minute walk from London Bridge Station, 10-minute walk from Blackfriars station, and 15-minutes from Cannon Street or Waterloo stations.

What are your opening hours?

Monday – Friday: 6:30am – 9:30pm
Saturday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Bank holiday hours may vary.


Membership & Pricing

Do I need a membership to train at The Fitting Rooms?

No, you don’t need a traditional membership and there is no contract period. You simply pay for your Personal Training sessions with options of single Pay-as-you-go sessions, blocks of 10, or longer-term 12-week packages, for those wishing to commit to regular sessions.

How much does Personal Training cost?

Our Personal Training rates vary depending on the service and package. Shared PT sessions start from £37.50 per hour, whilst 1-1 PT starts from £77.50 per hour. View our Pricing Page for the latest packages and offers.

Is there a joining fee?

No, The Fitting Rooms Gym does not charge any joining fees.

We specialise in:

One-to-one personal training

Shared PT (Small group personal training) (maximum of 4 people)

Are your personal trainers qualified?

Yes, all our trainers are fully qualified, experienced, and certified personal trainers with a passion for helping clients achieve long-term, sustainable results.

Do you offer training for beginners?

Absolutely. Whether you’re new to the gym or returning after a break, our trainers will guide you through every step with a personalised plan suited to your fitness level and goals.


Shared Personal Training

How many people are in the Shared PT sessions?

There is a maximum of 4 people per Shared PT session, but the session will go ahead even if you are the only person booked in.

How do I know which Shared PT programme is right for me?

Before joining Shared PT, you must have attended a free Taster session so we can assess your goals and current level of strength and fitness. Following this we will advise you which of our programmes is most approproate for you to start in.

Do I have to bring friends along with me for the Shared sessions?

No, you will train alongside other TFR clients who are working towards similar goals and are at a similar level of fitness to yourself. Although of course, you can sign up alongside a friend if you wish!

Do I have to commit to certain days and times?

No. We have a huge timetable of sessions that run 7 days a week. Once you know which of our Shared PT programmes you should be booking into, you can simply pick and choose which days and times work best for you each week.

How far in advance can I book sessions?

You can book sessions up to 2 weeks in advance, and as late as 45-minutes before the start time.

We request that you do not turn up without a booking as we may not be able to offer you a space and the Personal Trainer will not have time to prepare your programme for the session.


Facilities & Equipment

What gym equipment do you have at The Fitting Rooms?

Our London Bridge gym features premium commercial equipment, mostly custom-built by Watson Gym Equipment including:

4 Power Racks / Squat racks

Extensive range of barbells including: Olympic barbells, Safety Bars, Trap Bars, EZ Bars, Swiss Bar, Poliquin Bar

Dumbbells from 1kg up to 50kg

Resistance machines including: Cable machines, Pull-up and Dip stations, Lat Pulldown, Seated Row, Leg Press, Back Extension, Hamstring Curl, Leg Extension, Seated Calf Raise, Tibialis Raise

Conditioning tools including: rower, kettlebells, slam balls

Do you have changing facilities?

We have single-sex changing rooms which include showers, lockers, hair dryers, shampoo and body wash.

Towels are available for your use.

Is the gym busy during peak times?

Our private and small-group model means the gym never feels too crowded, even during peak hours. You will always have access to the equipment, space and support you need to make the most of your time in the gym.

Can I use the gym for my own training?

To ensure we can offer the best possible service for all clients, we are unable to offer the gym for training by yourself.


Booking & Cancellation

How do I book a personal training session?

Shared Personal Training sessions are booked through our Apple or Android apps.

One-on-one PT and Partner PT sessions are all booked by contacting us directly at [email protected].

Before joining any session, you must have attended a free Taster session so we can ensure you are following the most appropriate programme.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations will be charged in full. This cancellation policy ensures fairness for all clients and enables us to offer our industry-leading services at our highly-competitive prices.


Getting Started

How do I get started at The Fitting Rooms?

The first step is to book a free Taster session with one of our expert trainers.

What happens at the Taster session?

The Taster will last around an hour.

We’ll have a chat through the goals you’re currently working towards and your training experience and then we’ll take you through a bit of a workout so you can get a feel for the training we offer and we can work out the best training programme for you moving forwards.
